Every tattoo begins with an individual idea. At SVNR Studio, each stage is approached through collaboration, considered design and a commitment to exceptional standards.

Your Idea

Your project begins by sharing your idea with the artist whose style best suits it. This could be a developed concept, a collection of references or simply the beginning of something you would like to explore.

Include information about the subject, placement, approximate size and whether you would prefer colour or black and grey. The more detail you provide, the better your artist can understand the direction of the project.

The Conversation

A collaborative process shaped around you and your chosen artist

Your artist will review your enquiry and consider how the idea could work as a tattoo. They may discuss the subject, composition, placement and scale with you before confirming whether the project suits their style.

Every resident artist manages their own enquiries, appointments and payments, allowing the conversation to remain direct and personal throughout the process.

The Design

Every element is considered before the tattoo reaches the skin

Your artist will develop the idea into a custom design created for your chosen placement. Composition, scale, detail and the natural movement of the body are considered together to create a balanced final piece.

Some adjustments may be discussed during the process or on the day of the appointment. Your artist will guide you through any changes needed to ensure the design works successfully as a tattoo.

At the Studio

When you arrive, your artist will talk you through the design, confirm the placement and prepare the area for tattooing. The stencil will be positioned carefully, giving you an opportunity to review how the design sits on the body before the tattoo begins.

During the appointment, you can take breaks when needed. Your artist will keep you informed throughout the process and make sure you understand each stage.
